IRMA placements for the 37th batch of its two-year flagship program in rural management (PG Diploma in Rural Management or PRM) were held on February 12-17, 2018. Maintaining its 100 percent placements' record since its inception in 1979, the current batch of 180 students were placed in three days' time. The average salary offered by the private sector crossed the Re. 12 lakh mark. It stands at Rs. 12.17 lakh per annum (against Rs. 10.57 lakh last year) and that for the development sector organizations (NGOs, Cooperatives, and Government Development Agencies) at Rs. 9.42 lakh (as against Rs. 9.37 lakh last year). The combined average salary for the current batch stands at Rs. 11.39 lakh per annum (against Rs. 10.22 lakh last year), while the median stands at Rs. 10 lakh per annum (against Rs. 8.40 lakh last year). A substantial improvement in the median salary over last year's figure is quite encouraging. The maximum salary for the batch stands at Rs. 46.50 lakh. The lowest salary, Rs. 3.5 lakh, was offered by a grassroots NGO to one of the graduates who consciously chose to follow his dream of making a difference in the lives of people.

The FPRM is a fully residential programme. Every participant is provided with a furnished single hostel room with computer and Internet connectivity. There is a furnished common reading room, which is also used for receiving guests of participants. The hostel has a boarding facility managed by an elected participants’ body. Limited housing facility is available for married participants; it is normally made available only from the beginning of the second year in the programme.
