The Indian Law Institute was established in 1956 with an aim of promoting legal research in our nation. The main objective of this institute has been to cultivate the law of the nation as a science and also promote advanced studies and research in law for meeting various economic and social needs. The Institute is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. This ILI has its requisite freedom to carry on with its objectives. Several of the country’s top lawyers have come out of this institute and this institute is still keeping the name of being one of the best. The Institute provides LLM in law and Ph.D. in Law courses. Students of the Institution are placed through off-campus interviews.
