SB College Changanassery, founded in 1922, is a renowned educational institution for higher studies in Kerala, under the management of Arch Diocese of Changanassery, Roman Catholic Syrian Christian community. SB College was accorded the prestigious status; “College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)” by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2004 in the first lot of 47 colleges across the country .The college has been accredited with “A” grade by NAAC. It was also the recipient of the R Shankar Award instituted by the Government of Kerala for the best Arts and Science College twice. There are 20 Post Graduate, 16 Under Graduate Courses, 8 Research Departments and 2 MPhil Departments. The college stands committed to nurturing an environment for the holistic growth of students by imparting knowledge, values and skills.
