Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research is located at the Apollo Health City campus, an international hub for Health care professionals, education and research. It’s a place where dedicated educators guide aspiring physicians, a place where world renowned health care professionals are committed to the best practices in medicine and deliver care to alleviate human suffering. AIMSR was established in 2012, by the AHERF, a non-profit trust that is committed to an excellence in research and education.The medical college campus is spread over 10 acres at the Apollo Health city main campus in the Jubilee Hills area of central Hyderabad. It has 150,000 sq ft for both administrative and academic block and a teaching hospital with 300 beds, isolated in a separate 100,000 sq ft facility. The college holds 13 different clinical departments and 9 pre and Para -clinical departments with 20 full time Professors and 18 Associate Professors specialized in medicine and surgery. It has an annual intake of 100 Medical students which commenced in the year 2012. The student – faculty ratio is 1:1. A planned expansion in the infrastructure over the next two years include construction of an auditorium, additional classrooms, eight surgical suites and an expansion of the 300 beds more, with a present count of 750. The Apollo Group has over 5000 consultant physicians and surgeons with the highest academic and clinical capabilities, whose clinical expertise constitutes one of the most important assets of our facility.
