About:

AIIMS, Bathinda was established in 2019 by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). The Institute provides graduate and postgraduate medical education and training. The main objective is to provide an educational facility of the highest order for the training of personnel in all branches of health activities. It offers an undergraduate program in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. AIIMS Bathinda is planned to have its permanent campus by 2021 with a 750-bed medical hospital. The institute will also have departments of 10 specialties, 11 super-specialty, and 16 operation theatres.
