Acharya Narendra Dev College

Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC), New Delhi was established in 1991. The college is affiliated to the University of Delhi. The college to encourage critical thinking and intellectual curiosity amongst the students, they are provided with various opportunities to participate in research projects under the guidance of faculty members as their mentor and the research projects in the college are funded by three sources, the grants received by individual teachers from external funding agencies such as DBT, DST, CSIR; from the college and from the University of Delhi. The college believes participation in extracurricular activities goes a long way in shaping the personality of students and various societies and committees have been constituted in furtherance of this objective. In order to promote and encourage young entrepreneurs, Acharya Narendra Dev College has set up an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) that is sponsored and funded by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. The objective of establishing an IEDC in ANDC campus is to set up an institutional mechanism to create self-employment opportunities and to convert "job-seekers" into "job-generators".
