Chandigarh University Exam (CUCET) 2020 Registration, Eligibility

Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Chandigarh University(CU) for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the university. The exam offers admission into streams of engineering and management. CUCET also offers scholarships for all its UG and PG courses. The amount of scholarship is determined by the merit list prepared by the university on the basis of marks scored by candidates in CUCET (60% weightage) as well as graduation/ Class XII (40% weightage) exam.

CUCET 2020 Cut-Off

Chandigarh University will release the cut-off for the CUCET along with the result. Qualified candidates will be placed on a merit list will be eligible for admission along with the opportunity for a scholarship from the varsity.

Candidates can apply for CUCET through both online and offline mode.

 

Online Mode:
Step 1. Registration:

2. Click on "Apply Now"

3. Fill the registration form

4. Create your account by submitting the form

5. Your username and password will be created

Step 2. Application Form:

1. Log in using the created username and password

2. Fill the application form by filling details such as name, gender, date of birth, etc.

3. Provide your academic information

4. Choose your CUCET exam date and time

Step 3. Payment:

After filling the application form, pay the application fee of Rs. 1000/- through debit card/credit card/internet banking.

 

Offline Mode:

Purchase CUCET Brochure cum form from University admission offices/ Authorized centres by paying Rs.1000/- OR Download the application form from the official website of CUCET and Send duly filled admission form along with demand draft of Rs 1000/- drawn in name of “Chandigarh University” payable at Chandigarh at the following address:

CUCET 2020 Counseling

The counseling procedure will be conducted for the candidates present in the merit list after the result is published. Candidates have to remain present at the venue on the exact date and time specified by the university.

CUCET 2020 Result

The CUCET result is published soon after the exam is commenced. Candidates can check their results in online mode only. Qualified candidates are placed in the merit list who will be called for the counseling procedure.

CUCET 2020 Answer Key

The Answer Key for CUCET = 2020 will be released shortly after the exam is conducted. The answer key will consist of answers to all the questions asked in the exam. Candidates can cross-check their answers and get a brief score of their result. The candidates can challenge the answer key of CUCET 2020, after which Chandigarh University releases the final answer key with changes if any. Based on this final answer key the result is prepared.

For Undergraduate Courses:

1. The candidate must be an Indian Citizen

2. The candidate must secure a minimum mark of 50 % in 10th and 12th from CBSE/PSEB/ICSE or any other recognized State/National Board

3. Students appearing for secondary education (10+2) are also eligible

For Post-Graduate Courses:

1. The candidate must be an Indian Citizen

2. There is no age limit 

3. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% mark in their graduation from a recognized university

A: CUCET 2020 is conducted only in online mode i.e. computer-based.

 

Q: Is there any negative marking in CUCET?
