Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar was established in 2001. The college is recognized by an act of the Gujarat Legislature provided for the establishment of the DA-IICT and conferred on it the status of a university. DA-IICT as a private university was included in the list of universities maintained by the University Grants Commission and also a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The institute is a non-affiliating university. The vision of the institute is to serve as a catalyst and a change agent for the development of a culture for information and communication technology and to actively participate in the fructification of the National action plan for information technology. The mission of the institute is to be the most preferred institute choice of the students, faculty and the industry and to be in the top 10 in ever discipline.
