    SNAP 2019 Eligibility

    The SNAP 2019 registration is going starts from August 16, 2019, and ends on November 23, 2019. The exam date of SNAP is December 15, 2019. To appear in SNAP 2019 exam, few eligibility criteria should be met that is set by the SNAP management. The eligibility criteria consist of two major parts. One criterion is to appear in SNAP 2019 entrance exam and the other criteria are post-exam with cut-offs as required by each of the 15 Symbiosis colleges for MBA admission.




    The SNAP 2019 grants you admission into 15 Symbiosis colleges across India. MBA admission is awarded by the Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune. SIU Pune determines all the eligibility criteria every year before the exam. Apart from the eligibility for the SNAP 2019 exam, the students should also check the eligibility for each Symbiosis college, which may vary from college to college.

    Some of the key points of eligibility for SNAP 2019 issued by SIU Pune are listed below:


    Snap 2019 Exam Eligibility Criteria: 

    The basic criteria to appear in the SNAP 2019 exam are to score a minimum aggregate mark of 50% (45% for SC/ST) in graduation from a well-known college/university.


    1. SNAP Eligibility Criteria for Symbiosis Institutes: 

    One of the basic criteria of all the Symbiosis Institute is that they only accept the marks scored in the SNAP exam. However, the cut-offs for each Symbiosis Institute may vary from one another. In some Symbiosis Institutes, it is more based on the merit list and their individual admission policy.


    2. SNAP Eligibility for Specific Program:   

    programs that have the specific discipline or subject specialization offered by different Symbiosis Institutes like SSSS Pune; SHIS Pune; SCIT Pune; SIOM Nasik etc., have their own eligibility criteria which can be checked in their official website. Criteria like you need to be an engineering graduate to study MBA in Infrastructure Management or MBA in Operation Management etc.


    3. SNAP Eligibility Criteria for Students from Foreign Universities: 

    A candidate who has completed a qualifying degree from a foreign university must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian University (AIU). All the foreign degrees need to be verified by the AIU before seeking any programs in the Symbiosis Universities. After the AIU has issued the equivalence certificate and after the basic criteria are met, he/she can apply for the SNAP exams and programs.


    4. Check Your SNAP Eligibility Criteria before Applying:

    The SNAP exam fee and the fee for each program of institute, once paid cannot be refunded by the Test Conducting Authority. So check thoroughly the eligibility criteria before making payment of any section regarding SNAP.

    Listed below are the eligibility criteria for some of the Symbiosis Institutes:

    1. Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune (SIBM Pune)

    MBA- Innovation and Entrepreneurship:

    a. Graduation with a minimum aggregate mark of 50% (45% for SC/ST).

    b. A final year student, while their admission will be subjected to obtaining a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying exam.


    2. Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD, Pune):

    MBA:

    a. Graduation with a minimum mark of 50% (45% for SC/ST).

    b. A final year student, while their admission will be subjected to obtaining a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying exam.

    MBA in Business Analyst:

    a. Graduate with a minimum mark of 50% (45% for SC/ST) and a minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience after graduation.


    3. Symbiosis Institute of International Business:

    MBA – Energy & Environment:

    a. Must have done Bachelor of Engineering/ Architecture/ Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) with a minimum mark of 50% (45% for SC/ST). A final year student, while their admission will be subjected to obtaining a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying exam.

         

    4. Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru (SIBM Bengaluru):

    MBA:

    a. Graduation with a minimum aggregate mark of 50% (45% for SC/ST).

    b. A final year student, while their admission will be subjected to obtaining a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying exam.

    The basic SNAP 2019 eligibility will not ensure the eligibility for all the MBA program of all the Symbiosis Institute. Check eligibility for individual MBA programs in each of the Symbiosis Institute. The application for exam and MBA programs are to be submitted through the SNAP website.
