KMAT Kerala is an entrance exam that gives admissions into various management colleges in the state of Kerala. It is conducted by Cochin University of Science and Technology/ Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) under the supervision of admission Supervisory Committee.

KMAT Kerala Exam Pattern
Mode of Exam
The exam will be an offline or paper-based exam. The questions will be objective and the candidates will be provided an OMR sheet along with the question paper. Make sure not to open the OMR sheet until instructed.
Medium of Exam
The medium of KMAT Kerala is English. All the questions will be asked in English and the candidates have to answer in English only.
There will be a total of 180 questions coming from 4 different sections.
The maximum time allowed to complete the 180 questions is 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no sectional time restriction for the exam.
There are 4 sections in KMAT Kerala from which the questions will be asked.
A. English Language and Reading Comprehension
In this section, the candidate's knowledge and proficiency in the English language will be tested. Questions in this section will mostly be asked from Reading passages, Grammar, Vocabulary, Fill in the Blanks, Antonym, and Synonym, etc. The difficulty level is not so high in this section.
B. Quantitative Aptitude
This section will test the basic mathematical ability a candidate possesses. Questions will come from topics like Percentage, Time and Work, Pie Chart, Profit and Loss, Number System, Bar Graph, Time-Speed-Distance, Data Interpretation, Basic Arithmetic, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Algebra, Series, etc. All the questions will be asked up until 10th level only. The difficulty level in this section is relatively high than other sections.
C. Logical Reasoning and Data Sufficiency
This section will test the reasoning skills and logical thinking of the candidate. Candidates with good IQ will find this section comfortable. Question will come in various types like Table, Bar, Pie, Line graphs etc, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Puzzles, Arrangements, Data Structures, Series, Coding-Decoding, Clocks, and Calendars. Questions may also come from quantitative portion too like Algebra, Geometry, etc. The difficulty level of this section is easy to moderate.
D. General Knowledge
There is no particular syllabus for this section. One must be up to date with the current events by reading newspapers and social media. Questions will be asked from Business news and trends, current affairs, political news, world news, sports, and technology, etc.
