The University has a Directorate of Training that conducting training and skill up-gradation programs that come outside the gamut of the academic curriculum. The Directorate offers these skilling programs to aspiring professionals, fresh graduates,  to practicing professionals from industry, business. The Directorate facilitates the delivery of Training and Lifelong Learning courses through the Faculties of the University using in-house expertise and experts/consultants.

MSRUAS offers a hostel facility both on the Peenya campus as well as on the Gnanagangothri campus. The students taking admissions with the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Art and Design, Management and Commerce and Science are required to apply for the accommodation in the Peenya Campus. Students belonging to the Faculty of Dental Sciences, Pharmacy and Hospitality Management, and Catering Technology can opt to stay in the Gnanagangothri Campus. Those who desire to stay outside campus can do so as there are many options available.
