TISS MA 2020 PIT and PT Dates Postponed until Further Notice
Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) has postponed the Pre-Interview Test(PIT) and Personal Interview(PT) for the M.A. admissions for the year 2020-21 due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country until further notification from the authorities. The PIT and PT were supposed to be conducted for candidates qualified for the TISS-NET 2020 (TISS-National Entrance Test) which was held on 4th January 2020.
Pre-Interview Test round is programme specific and might have variations across different programmes. For some programmes, Group Discussions (GD) or Aptitude Test (AT) are part of PIT. The details of programme specific components are provided against each of the programmes. The PIT will be conducted in the form of a Written Test or a Group Discussion. The duration of PIT is generally 35-40 minutes. For some courses, the PIT consists of 2 sections- Essay writing and a short case study with questions based on it.
Candidates who clear the Pre-InterviewTest/Group Discussion rounds are called for Personal Interview. During this round, candidates’ interpersonal skills, their understanding of the programme, their academic records are examined. This helps panellist evaluate the personality traits of a candidate and to decide whether he is fit for a certain programme or not.
