Due to the spread of the pandemic, Jamia Milia Islamia is unable to conduct their entrance examinations for enrolling students to its various UG and PG courses. The educational institution is considering merit-based admissions this year for its various courses.
Every year, the university conducts entrance exams for admitting students to 56 UG courses and 15 PG courses. The entrance tests are usually conducted in the month of June. In 2020, this could not be conducted due to Covid-19.
A circular issued by the university’s office of the controller (examination) on 20th August stated that the candidates who have already applied for the entrance test must upload their mark sheets on the admission portal of the institution. All the candidates who aspire to get admitted have to submit the mark sheets of qualifying examinations. This also includes those candidates who have already filled in the forms using their login id and password.
The candidates also have to reconfirm the details as the merit list will be prepared based on the details furnished by the candidate.
However, no decision has been taken by Jamia Milia on admitting students based on their merit. The last date for submitting application forms online has been extended till 14th September. The educational institution is waiting for UGC directives.
