CENTAC Postponed the PG-NEET Draft Merit List Due to COVID-19
Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) 2020-21, Government of Pudducherry Postponed the PG-NEET Draft Merit List Due to COVID-19. According to the previous schedules the Draft merit List to be published on 16th March 2020 and the Date of conduct of 1st round of online counseling to be on 25th March 2020. Now both the dates are changes. The new date will be announced shortly by the Pudducherry government.
CENTAC 2020 is a Centralized Admission Committee that is formed to fill the professional degree seats in the colleges that come under the UT of Puducherry. The admission procedure will be managed by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry. There are 17 participating institutes under CENTAC 2020. The centralized Admission Committee will be the conducting authority for the entire admission process. There will be no entrance exam conducted for offering admission in UG courses from 2015 onwards. Through the admission process, candidates can get admission in the engineering and various medical courses.
CENTAC will conduct common counseling for admission of candidates in Post Graduate Medical / Dental Courses in respect of seats allocated for Government Quota in Private Medical / Dental Colleges.

Admission to PG Degree Course shall be made by counseling on the basis of Merit applying the rule of reservation wherever applicable. Counselling will be done through computer module based on the preferences entered by the Candidates.
In the case of physical counselling, candidates will be called for counseling according to their ranks in batches. Candidates can choose any one of the branches or colleges available at the time of counseling Option once given during the counseling cannot be changed later.
Seats, Method of Selection and Admission:
Category 1 - Seats in Government Medical / Dental Colleges:
Allotment for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats is done by the Director-General of Health Services, New Delhi. The remaining seats will be allotted under State Quota by CENTAC. Surrendered seats from All India Quota are also allotted as per reservation guidelines by CENTAC.
Category 2 – Government quota seats in Private Medical/Dental Colleges:
Government Quota seats are allotted as per reservation guidelines by CENTAC.
Category 3 – Management quota seats in Private Medical/Dental Colleges:
Management Quota seat is allotted based on All India Merit by CENTAC. The Minority Quota seats are allotted based on the Minority Candidates Merit List.
Some seats may be permitted but not recognized by the Medical Council of India at the time of counseling. Therefore the candidates should well examine these points and refer the MCI website before opting for a seat. The CENTAC shall neither be responsible nor shall entertain any case on the above grounds.
