HRD minister will give final stamp on conducting NEET twice a year or not

After the change in the conducting body of NEET exams, it was decided that NEET will be conducted twice a year along with JEE Main, UGC NET, and CMAT from the 2019 session. But this is still not confirmed and the HRD Minister is yet to give a final decision upon this proposal in the next week whether or not to conduct NEET twice a year. Moreover, the health ministry in its letter points out the problem of conducting the entrance exam in online mode as it would become a disadvantage to the rural and poor students. The health ministry also points out the problem of the students who will be appearing for exams in the continuous period of 4-5 months, which will add more pressure on the students.

The HRD ministry, according to officials, is yet to take a call on this matter and a decision is likely to be taken in the next week.
