Manipal University Entrance Exam 2021 (MET 2021) is an exam to offer admission into various UG & PG courses such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Applied Sciences, and many other courses. This is a University level entrance exam conducted by Manipal University every year. It was formerly known as MU OET (Manipal University Entrance Exam). It’s also the gateway to admission to the various affiliated institutions of the university. Admission to MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MDS, DM and MCh courses will be done through NEET scores. This year MET will be conducted in two phases. Manipal Entrance Test is being conducted for candidates to get admission in Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Sikkim, and Manipal University (MU) Jaipur.

The entrance exam syllabus for MET 2021 is decided by the exam conducting authorities of Manipal University. The entire syllabus is defined as per the courses offered by the university. Candidates applying for MET are advised that they should go through the whole syllabus thoroughly before appearing for the exam.
- In B.Tech, the syllabus is focused on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, & General English.
- The questions are mostly from the courses from 10+2 or its equivalent course.

MET 2021 Cut Off:
MET 2021 cut-off will aware the candidates regarding marks required to be eligible for the admission. The closing ranks will be considered as cut off for each course. The cut off will be published after each round of seat allotment procedure on the university website.
MET 2021 Application Form:
- Candidates have to apply online to fill the Manipal University application form 2021.
- The online application has been started on 14th December 2020.
- The last date to fill and submit the Manipal University application form for B.Tech courses is 31st March 2021.
- Candidates have to fill in the required details and upload the signature and photograph.

Application Fee
- The application fee is Rs. 600/- (for all courses) & the entrance test fee is Rs. 1400/- (for selected courses) for the general category.
- Foreign /International/ NRI / NRI Sponsored category candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs. 2500/-.
- The application fee can be paid through credit card/debit card/internet banking.
- In case of the application fee paid through DD, it will be made in favor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, payable at Manipal, Udupi.
MET 2021 Counseling:
To participate in the counseling, candidates have to select their counseling venue at the time of slot booking of the exam. The admission will be organized through offline mode at the prescribed venues.
Candidates will be allotted the seats on the basis of ranks secured by the candidates in the MET 2021 exam. Candidates have to bring the required original documents for verification.

MET 2021 Result:
The results will be declared on different dates for all courses. Candidates can view their results through online mode from the 1st week of May 2021. On the basis of the result, the authority will prepare the merit list for each program. On the basis of this merit list, the candidates will be called for counseling.
MET 2021 Answer Key:
The answer key for MET 2021 is not provided by the authorities of the university. In case, when the answer key gets released by the exam conducting authorities, candidates will be able to download the detail from the official website.

Q: When should I start my MET preparation?
A: The syllabus is similar to 10+2 Board/University syllabus, so the candidate easily prepares for the exam alongside preparation for their 10+2 exams, starting in Class XI.
Q: How much of class XI and XII syllabus comes in MET? Are there any important specific topics from each?
A: There is no clarity on how much marks will be asked from Class XI and XII syllabus, so it is advisable that candidates don’t ignore any topic.
Q: I am unable to prepare for MET separately? Should I prepare for only JEE MAIN & Class 12?
A: Even if the candidate is not able to prepare for MET 2021 separately, it shouldn’t be a concern. It is because questions asked in the exam are at par with most Class 12 syllabi. Also, JEE Main is a much more advanced exam, and preparing for it will automatically take care of most topics asked in MET.
Q: Which are the important topics for Maths, Physics, and Chemistry for MET?
A: If you go weight wise, Mathematics is the most important subject as it contains 70 questions. Physics and Chemistry each will have 50 questions are of equal weight. Also, the exam conducting body hasn’t disclosed anything on important topics. So, the candidate is recommended not to neglect any topic.

A: For each correct answer 1 mark will be added, only for ME & M. Tech there are 4 marks for each correct answer. No negative marking for the incorrect answer except ME & M. Tech.
