WBJEE 2018

WBJEE 2018 -  West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will conduct WBJEE 2018 in offline mode on April 22, with Paper I in the morning and Paper II in the evening. Registration for WBJEE 2018 is over now. WBJEE admit card 2018 will be available for download from April 12 onwards. The result will be available in the first week of June 2018. Candidates who qualify WBJEE 2018 will have to apply for counselling and seat allotment after the result is declared. WBJEE is conducted for admissions into B.E/ B.Tech courses offered by some 104 Government as well as Self Financing Engineering & Technological participating institutes. Candidates could fill the WBJEE application form till January 19, 2018. Correction in WBJEE application form was available from January 26 to 28. Discrepancies in the uploaded images could also be rectified. WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2018

  • Nationality - The candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • Age Limit - The lower age limit for the candidate is 17 years as on December 31, 2018. Candidates born on or after January 1, 2001 will not be eligible for WBJEE 2018. There will be no upper age limit. Those candidates who are applying for Marine Engineering should not be above 25 years of age as on December 31, 2018.
  • Educational Qualification - The candidates should have qualified his/her 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subjects. The candidates should have obtained at least 45% (40% for reserved category) as an aggregate of the three subjects.
  • English Language Requirement - Should have qualified English in the 10+2 examination with at least 30% marks.
  • Domicile - The candidates should be a domicile of West Bengal.

WBJEE Application Form 2018

The application form of WBJEE 2018 was available in online mode. The candidates had to submit their personal, academic and contact information while filling up the WBJEE 2018 application form. The last date to submit filled application form was January 19, 2018. To register for WBJEE 2018, candidates had to follow the five steps given below:

Steps to Fill WBJEE 2018 Application Form

  • Step 1 – Online Registration: The candidates had to register themselves after reading the instructions provided by the admission committee.
  • Step 2 – Filling of Application Form: Personal details, course and exam city options, educational details and communication information had to be filled by the candidates. Selection of password also had to be done. 
  • Step 3 – Uploading of Scanned Images: Next, candidates had to upload scanned photograph and signature as per prescribed guidelines.
  • Step 4 – Payment of Application Fees: The required application fee had to be paid online (net banking/credit card/debit card/Paytm) or offline mode (bank challan).
  • Step 5 – Print Out of Confirmation Page: After submission of application form, the candidates had to take a print out of the confirmation page.

WBJEE Admit Card 2018

The admission authorities will issue the admit card of WBJEE 2018 on April 12. WBJEE 2018 admit card is an important document which all candidates will have to produce at the examination centre. Registered candidates will be able to access their admit card online by logging into their accounts. The name of the candidate, examination date and timings and more information will be present on the admit card of WBJEE 2018. If the candidates are not able to present their admit card in the examination centre then he/she will not be allowed to participate in the entrance examination.

Steps to Download WBJEE 2018 Admit Card

  • The candidates will have to submit their registration/application number and password to obtain the WBJEE admit card
  • The admit card link will be displayed on the screen.
  • The candidates are requested to check all of the information present on the admit card. Downloading and print out of the generated WBJEE 2018 admit card should be done after checking all the details. 
  • WBJEE 2018 Exam Day Guidelines
  • The candidates will be allowed to enter the examination centre 30 minutes before the examination starts.
  • No candidate will be allowed to take the examination in any centre other than the one that will be allotted to him/her and will be mentioned on the admit card. 
  • Along with the admit card, the candidates will be required to carry a copy of their coloured photograph (similar to the one used in the online application form) and any photo identity card in original (Aadhaar card/Pan Card/Passport/10th standard admit card/School ID card). 
  • All candidates are advised to be seated at least 15 minutes before the test. 
  • The candidates will not be allowed to carry any written or printed material, calculator, pen, docu-pen, log table, wristwatch, any communication device like mobile number inside the exam hall. 
  • The OMR Number and the question booklet serial number should be the same. 
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall till the end of the examination. 
  • Impersonation and breaking of the rules will hamper the candidature. 

WBJEE Answer Key 2018

The answer key of WBJEE 2018 will be released by the official authorities. The correct answers to the questions asked in WBJEE 2018 will be available in the answer key. Using the released answer key, the candidates will be able to compare their responses to the correct ones and calculate their scores. The candidates will also be able to challenge the released answer key. Various coaching institutes will also be releasing the WBJEE 2018 answer key. Along with the answer key, the candidates will also be able to check their OMR sheets and recorded responses by submitting their application number and password.

WBJEE Result 2018

The result of WBJEE 2018 will be declared in online mode tentatively on June 5, 2018. The WBJEE result will be released in the form of rank cards. The total score, rank and component scores secured by the candidates will be available in the result. The candidates will be able to download their WBJEE 2018 result by logging in using their application number and password. All of the candidates who secure a rank may not be eligible for counselling.

How to Check WBJEE 2018 Result?

  • The candidates will have to login using their WBJEE 2018 application number and password.
  • The WBJEE result and rank card will be displayed on the screen.
  • The candidates will have to download and print the rank card for future use.

WBJEE Cutoff 2018

The concerned authorities will be releasing the cutoff for WBJEE 2018, which will consist of the marks which the candidates will have to secure to qualify for the counselling and seat allotment session. WBJEE 2018 cutoff will be different as per the course, institute selected and category of the candidates. Various factors will be taken into consideration while preparing the cutoff. Those candidates who are not able to meet the cutoff may not be allotted seats under WBJEE 2018.

WBJEE Counselling 2018

The online counselling for WBJEE 2018 will commence tentatively from the second week of June 2018. All candidates who have qualified the examination will be able to register themselves for the counselling process. Online registration will be allowed only once before the first round of counselling. No fresh registrations will be allowed during the second and third round of counselling. The given steps will have to be followed by the candidates during WBJEE 2018 counselling:

  • Step 1: Online Registration – The candidates will have to register themselves for counselling and pay the counselling fees. The counselling fee for WBJEE 2018 is non-refundable.
  • Step 2: Choice Filling and Locking – Selection of courses and institutes as per the preference of the candidates has to be done. The candidates will be able to fill as many choices as they want. The locked choices have to be printed out for future use.
  • Step 3 – Seat Allotment – The allotment of seats will be done as per the merit and selection of courses and institutes by the candidates. Individual allotment letters will not be sent. The allotted candidates will have to report at the Reporting Centres to complete the admission formalities.
  • Step 4 – Verification of Documents and Payment of Fees – The candidates will have to verify their documents and pay the required fees at the Reporting Centres.
