Interior Design

Interior designers make interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements and selecting decorative items, such as colors, lighting, and materials. They read blueprints and must be aware of building codes and inspection regulations, as well as universal accessibility standards. Interior designers work closely with architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and construction laborers and helpers to determine how interior spaces will function, look, and be furnished. Types of interior designers are as follows-

  • Corporate designers
  • Healthcare designers
  • Kitchen and bath designers
  • Sustainable designers (improve energy and water efficiencies and indoor air quality, and they specify environmentally preferable products, such as bamboo and cork for floors)
  • Universal designers

Anyone who intends to pursue PG Diploma in Interior Designing does need to have completed his or her 10+2 in any stream, apart from having a 3 years’ graduate degree in interior designing, design, engineering, technology or architecture with minimum 45 percent marks from a recognised university.
