An organizational function that guides every step of a product’s lifecycle is called Product management. A product lifecycle begins from its development, then progresses to positioning and pricing. The entire process runs by focusing on its customer's needs and demand. The major responsibility of a product manager is to hear the voice of customers present in the market and presenting the same within the organization to build the best possible product. A product manager drives the strategy for a product or group of products. Product managers are often responsible for educating the executive staff on the need for the product in the market. Product management differs based on the company and type of products. The product manager plays a key role in bringing together the business, technology, and users. The technology includes the actual product itself. The business represents those that have the ability to bring the product to market, and the user is the customer that has a desire for this product.
