Lady Brabourne College

The Career Counseling and Job Placement Committee of the College has been organizing various programmes for career development and job placements since 2002. In the session 2006-07 major IT/BPO organizations like Infosys, TCS, IBM, Cognizant (CTS), Tech Mahendra, Accenture and WIPRO conducted campus recruitment programmes for final year undergraduate students. 75 (seventy five) interested and eligible students from all streams have been selected for placements last year (2007) by these high profile companies. Infosys also initiated their Campus Ambassador programme both in 2006 and 2007 from among interested students. This year 3G, Satyam, TCS and IBM Daksh also recruited some students.

Outstation students who take admission to the college are extended the facilities of a College Hostel which is situated adjacent to the college premises. Messing in the Hostel is maintained on hygienic standards and boarders are required to observe the rules. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the hostel premises. The hostel has a total number of 315 seats for both UG and PG students which are allotted purely on the basis of merit and requirement. The Principal is the ex-officio in-charge of the hostel which is run by supervisory staff. The hostel is provided with library and gym facilities, apart from the usual mediums of entertainment and recreation in the common room. A new hostel building, funded by the UGC in the last phase of the tenth plan, has witnessed completion and accommodates PG and senior UG students.
