Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE)

ICAR-CIFE does not provide any campus placement as such but it trains every student to be leaders in various fields of aquatic education. Many students passing out from the institute are working in some of the best places of the fisheries and aquatic sector. Some of the students have even gone abroad to work or pursue their higher education. Along with job training through the encouragement of internships, the college also teaches the students on how to be emotionally mature. Emotional maturity helps people in handling the job responsibility.

Hostel

The institute has two hostels, one for boys and one for girls. Various facilities like four-time nutritious food along with tea in the evening, TV room, recreational centre, common room and many others are provided to the students. Every hostel will have a warden to look after the hostel in every way. The warden will be a faculty member of the university. 

Library

The library of ICAR-CIFE has several books in relation to the fisheries studies. Along with books, it also has several research journals. The knowledge hub of the university lies in the library. The library also has other books of other subjects that the students can read during their free time. No matter what the course of study is, in order to pass with good marks, it is mandatory to read the books. The students who have read the books of the library have all passed with flying colours and are placed in top jobs of the country.
