National Institute of Design (NID) aptitude exam is a national level entrance exam through which aspirants are shortlisted for admission in UG and PG courses of design offered at various NID campuses present in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Bangalore, Kurukshetra, and Vijayawada. From 2019 onwards two more campuses of NID is added to the list i.e. NID Bhopal and NID Jorhat.
The aspirants need to qualify 2 exams, prelims and mains in order to get admission into NID. It is an offline mode or pen and paper-based exam conducted once a year.

Steps to fill the application Form
Though the NID exam is conducted in offline mode, candidates need to register and fill the application form through online only. As mentioned above, the registration for NID exam will start from 1st week of October, here are the steps to apply for the exam:
To fill up the application form, the candidate needs to register first.
1- Go to the official website of NID and click on "Registration"
2- Provide necessary details asked, i.e. name, gender, mobile number, email id, DOB, etc.
3- After successful registration, your login credentials will be sent to you at your email.

1- Go to the official NID website and log in using the credentials you got through your email
2- Fill up the application form providing the personal and academic details required i.e. Father's name, mother's name, DOB, address, educational qualifications, etc.
3- Choose the Course you are applying for and exam centre as per your preferential, then click on "save and proceed".
After filling the form, you are directed to another page, where you have to upload some documents
1- Upload scanned recent passport size photograph and signature (JPEG format, 50KB - 100KB)
2- Upload your caste certificate issued by the competent authority (JPEG format, less than 150KB)
3- Click on "save and proceed"
You can make your NID Application form fee payment through both online mode and offline mode. In online mode you can pay through Debit card or Credit card. In offline mode, you can pay through a Demand Draft in favour of “All India Management Association” payable at New Delhi.
