NEET counselling 2018: Tentative schedule released today

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has released the schedule for the NEET counselling at General candidates who have scored minimum of 50th percentage, SC/ST/OBC who have scored 40th percentile and 45th percentage for General-PH are only eligible for NEET 2018 counselling round. As per the cut off shared by the board, 7.14 lakh candidates have qualified NEET this year. As per the official release of MCC, the counselling for 15% All India Quota seats would start from June 13.

There are a total of about 60,000 seats. Students would be called as per the AIR ranks/ merit list. The following is the detailed schedule for rounds of NEET 2018 counselling-


NEET 2018: Round 1

Registration, choice filling and payment:

13th June 2018 to 18th June 2018(until 5 pm)

Choice filling/locking:

 19th June 2018 (10:00 am to 5:00 pm as per server time)

Processing of seat allotment:

20th June 2018 to 21st June 2018


 June 22, 2018


23 June 2018 to 03 July 2018


NEET 2018: Round 2

Registration, choice filling and payment:

 6th July to 8th July (until 5 pm)

Choice filling/locking:

 9th July 2018(10:00 am to 5:00 pm as per server time)

Processing of seat allotment:

10th July 2018 to 11th July 2018


12th July 2018


13th July 2018 to 22nd July 2018

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), will conduct the NEET 2018 counselling on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling will be conducted for admissions to 15 per cent All India Quota (AQI) seats in Government medical and dental colleges across all states (except J&K), 100 per cent seats in deemed and central universities, seats reserved for Wards of Insured Persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges and seats at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune. Counselling for state quota seats will be conducted by the different state counselling authorities during this period.

The MBBS/BDS seats will be filled all over the country through NEET UG in the following categories:

•        All India Quota Seats.

•        State Government Quota Seats.

•        Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities.

•        State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical/ Dental Colleges or any Private University.

•        Central Pool Quota Seats.

Candidates should bring their original documents along with attested photocopies of documents.

•        10th & 12th Passing Certificate
