CENTAC 2021 Admit card:

  • The authorities have decided to remove the entrance exam for the selection procedure in CENTAC from the year 2015. Therefore, there will be no exam as well as admit card for CENTAC 2021.

CENTAC 2021 Syllabus:

There will be no Entrance Test for CENTAC admission procedure. So, there is no syllabus to follow for the procedure. CENTAC 2021 Application form:

The application fee can be paid only through online mode of transactions like credit card/debit card/net banking payment gateway.

Steps of Admission Process:

Step 1:

Registration: Students have to start with the process of registration of CENTAC 2021. Applicants will be required to provide their basis details like name, email address, mobile phone number. Students will also have to create a password at the time of registration which will be used for all future login related to completing the application form, downloading of admit card, checking merit list etc. After entering all the details, click on the register button on the CENTAC official website to complete the registration procedure.

Step 2:

Filling Application Form: Students will have to enter basic details like parents name, address for communication, choice of course etc. at the time of filling the detailed application form. Students must be cautious in entering the details and wrong or incorrect information can lead to cancellation of the application.

Step 3:

Uploading Documents and Images: Students have to upload scanned images of their recent passport size colored photograph and all the documents of educational qualification. Students are provided below the details of all documents which need to be uploaded at the time of filling CENTAC application form 2021:

1. Mark Sheet of class 12/ qualifying exam
2. Certificate of reservation (if claiming reservation under any category)
3. Residence certificates (For government quota seats)
4. Regional Reservation Certificate (Applicable only for Professional Under Graduate and Diploma Courses)
5. Specification of Images to be uploaded
6. Photograph (Permissible Size- 20 KB to 50 KB Format - JPEG)

Step 4:

Payment of Application Fees: Students will be required to pay the application fees in online mode after completing the application form. Application fees can be paid using credit/debit card or net banking. Applicants of the unreserved category have to pay Rs.1000 while reserved category candidates have to pay Rs.500 as application fees.

Step 5:

Final Submission of Application Form: Students have to finally submit the application form after completing all the process. Students are advised to check all the details entered by them as the form once filled will not be available for corrections. After verifying all the details, click on “Submit” button to submit the application form.
Students are not required to send copy of filled application form to CENTAC but they should keep a copy of it till the completion of admission process.

CENTAC 2021 Counselling:

Those candidates who will qualify the cut-off marks set by the managing authorities will be listed for the seat allotment. The list will be prepared as per the ranks scored by the candidates. The candidates will be intimated for the counseling session as per the rank order. The counseling is expected to be commenced from the 2nd week of June to the 1st week of July. However, the counseling session will be conducted offline. The eligible candidates have to check the official website for the Counseling Notice.

CENTAC 2021 Choice Based Seats Allocation Process

1. From the academic year 2021, CENTAC has adopted the Choice Based Seat Allocation Process. Important dates regarding the same will be sent through SMS, Email and will also be updated on the CENTAC official website.
2. Once the CENTAC counseling dates are announced, aspirants are advised to visit the official website regularly. The CENTAC portal will be available from 7 am to 7 pm.
3. Aspirants will be able to login to the website only after they pay the admission processing fees. The fee can be paid only via Credit cards/Debit cards/NEFT.
4. Aspirants need to enter their options(which are unlimited) for the courses and colleges of their choice.
5. CENTAC will publish the selection list in a week's time on the website. The provisional allotment will also be released on the official CENTAC website. Aspirants can download the same too. An intimation will also be sent to candidates via SMS/Email.
6. Once the Provisional Allotment Order is downloaded, aspirants need to report to the college allotted to him/her within the specified duration. In case of aspirants fail to report, the provisional allotment will be canceled automatically.
7. The same process will be followed for the Second and Third Counselling rounds as well.

CENTAC 2021 Counselling fee: Rs 750 (Rs. 350 for SC/BT). This is a non-refundable fee.

CENTAC 2021 Result:

The selection procedure for CENTAC 2021 will not be dependent upon any entrance. However, the admission procedure will rely on the performance of the candidate’s 10+2 or equivalent qualifying exams. The results also depends on the CENTAC cutoff. As the procedure does not include any entrance test, there will be no result declaration as well.

CENTAC 2021 Eligibility:

The candidates who wish to get B.Tech admission through CENTAC 2021 will have to fulfill certain conditions and requirements to be eligible. The following eligibility criteria of CENTAC 2021 will have to be met by the candidates to participate in the admission procedure.

Nationality:

The candidates have to be of Indian nationality. However, French nationals residing in the UT of Puducherry and covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession will also be eligible to participate in CENTAC 2020. 

Age:

All candidates should be maximum 21 years old as on July 1, 2020. Relaxation of 3 years will be given to SC candidates.

Educational Qualification: 

For CENTAC 2021 admissions, the candidates should have a qualified H.Sc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination. An aggregate of minimum 45% marks (40% marks for OBC/ BCM/ MBC/ EBC/ BT/ SC candidates) should have been secured in Mathematics, Physics or any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology (Botany and Zoology)

Selection Criteria:

Candidates belonging to the Union Territory of Puducherry will be allotted seats based on their performance in the 12th standard (or equivalent) examination. CENTAC 2020 admissions to the candidates from other states and Union Territories will be done based on their JEE Main 2020 scores.

CENTAC 2021 Reservation Criteria:
