The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released examination dates and paper for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier II examination 2015 examination dates and paper pattern. The exam will be held on September 18, 2016 from 10 am to 11 am (forenoon session) at selected exam centres.
The Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2015 was held on November, December, 2015 and July, 2016.
The notification states that the admission certificates/admit cards/hall tickets for the SSC CHSL 2015 exam will be available for download from SSC regional office websites.
If any candidate faces difficulty or is not able to download his or her admit card then the candidate should contact the concerned regional office of the Commission with their details at least 7 days before the date of the exam.
Revised Exam pattern:
Earlier, on August 11, 2016, the SSC had released a notification stating that the Commission has added one more level to the CHSL 2015 examination.
Now, the SSC will hold the CHSL exam in three levels: Tier I, Tier II and Tier III.
Tier 1: There will be a descriptive question paper.
Tier 2: There will be test of essay and letter/application writing skill.
Tier 3: This exam would continue to be the skill test/typing test which would be of a qualifying nature.
The final merit of the successful candidates would be calculated on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Exam pattern of CHSL 2015 Tier 2 paper
• The paper would comprise writing of an essay of 200-250 words and letter / application writing of approximately 150-200 words. The duration of the paper would be for one hour
• The minimum qualifying marks would be 33 per cent. The performance in Tier 2 would be included for preparing merit. The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English.
