Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a scholarship program funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) organizes this national level scholarship program. It is conducted to encourage students for pursuing a research career in the field of basic sciences. KVPY 2017 Admit Card will be released on 15th October 2017.

KVPY selection procedure:

KVPY Selection Procedure 2017 will consist of two stages i.e. an aptitude test and an interview. To get shortlisted for the KVYP scholarship, students need to qualify both the stages of KVPY 2017 selection procedure.

Aptitude test:

After scrutiny of application forms and the eligibility criteria for various streams, all eligible students are called for aptitude test conducted both in Hindi and English at different centres across the country.

Interview:

Interview based on the performance of the candidate in the aptitude test, which is the final stage of the selection procedure. The short-listed students will be asked to appear for an interview, At the time of the interview, candidate’s knowledge in science and research field will be monitored. After the conduct of interview, the list of final selected candidates will be released.

Stream SA: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Candidates should report at 8:30 AM).

Stream SB/SX: 2 PM to 5 PM

(Candidates should report at 1 PM).

KVPY 2017 Result Declaration

KVPY 2017 Exam-Pattern:

·         Mode of Exam: The entrance exam will be organized in online or offline mode.

·         Duration: The duration of the exam will be three hours.

·         Language: The medium of the question paper will be English & Hindi language.

·         Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

·         Papers: The question paper is divided into two parts: PART I & PART II. There will be four sections in Part 1 & Part 2.

·         Marks: The question papers of Stream SA & Stream SB/SX will be of 100 marks.

·         Marking Scheme: In PART I of both the Streams, one mark will be awarded for correct response & 0.25 marks will be deducted for an incorrect response. In PART II of Stream SA & Stream SB/SX, for each correct response, two marks will be given to the candidates & 0.5 marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer.

·         All the questions are compulsory to attend in the SA stream.

·         There is an option to attempt any three sections in PART I & any two sections in PART II in Stream SB/SX.
