Exam Dates out for AIIMS MBBS 2017

The exam dates for AIIMS MBBS exam 2017 have been released. According to the latest notification released by AIIMS the entrance exam will be held on May 28, 2017. The result notification will out by June 14, 2017.

Eligibility criteria:

Aspirants are also required to note that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducts the AIIMS MBBS entrance exam for admissions to AIIMS institute. In order to be eligible for AIIMS MBBS exam, aspirants are required to note that that they need to have cleared 10 +2 or equivalent with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Aspirants need to note that they need to be of minimum 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Application process:

AIIMS 2017 application form will be available from the month of January 2016. The candidates have to fill their form by using online mode through the official website of AIIMS 2017. 

Application Fees for all the categories will vary. For the  General/OBC Category the fees will be  Rs. 1000/- while for SC/ST candidates the fees will be Rs. 800/. OPH candidates will weaved from fees. Applicants have to remit their fees by credit/debit card/net banking or Bank challan.

Exam/Paper pattern:

Important information which the candidates must note is that the AIIMS MBBS exam 2017 will be a computer based test (CBT). The duration of the exam will be 3 and 1/2 hours ( three hours and thirty minutes). Aspirants are also required to note that the online (CBT) entrance exam will be conducted in two shifts. It is tentatively scheduled that the first shift will be conducted from 9 Am to 12: 30 pm while the afternoon shift will be held from 3 pm to 6:30 pm. 

For AIIMS 2017, aspirants will need to prepare for objective/multiple choice questions with four options (MCQ), Multiple Choice-Assertion Reason Type (MCQAR). Aspirants will be tested on four sections which include Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and General Knowledge. Three sections Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) will have 60 questions while the General knowledge section will have 20 questions. The marks for each section will be 60 marks while the General Knowledge section will carry only 20 marks. It is also important for the aspirants to note that there will negative marks for incorrect answer which is -1/3.

1st Counselling: 03rd, 04th, 05th & 06th July, 2017.(Monday-Thursday)
2nd Counselling: 3rd August, 2017 (Thursday)
3rd Counselling: 5th September, 2017 (Tuesday)
