Retail Management is the process which helps the customers to procure the desired merchandise form the retail stores for their personal use. It includes all the steps required to bring the customers into the store and fulfill their buying needs. Retail management saves time and ensures the customers easily locate their desired merchandise and return home satisfied.
 
Its also well-known as 'Retailing'. Retailing is a convenient, convincing and comfortable method of selling goods and services. Retailing, though as old as business, trade and commerce has now taken new forms and shapes. This is because of new management techniques, marketing techniques and also due to ever changing and dynamic consumer psychology.  The people who are specialists in retail management are generally known as Retail Managers. A Retail Manager is concerned with problem solving, monitoring Retail orders, merchandising, human resources and stocks, analyzing the supply etc.
 
Eligibility :
 
UG : 3 Years
For admission into bachelor’s degree program a student must have passed intermediate 10+2 in any stream. 
 
PG : 2 Years
For admission into master’s degree program a student must have passed the bachelor’s degree in retail management or subjects related to retail.

The package in this retail industry depends on the factors such as qualification, company, job profile and the area of the work. The average salary of a sales person in the retail industries varies in between Rs.7,000 to Rs.10,000 per month. As the experience increases the pay scale also increases and the expected salary ranges from Rs.15,000 to Rs.25,000 per month which again depends on the above factors mentioned.
